Hello Ladies,
Well...it's official. The dogs decided that April is the time to get sick/injured.
Snoopy is now at the vets office having xrays. He was up all night vomiting
So...Sheba has a blown ACL in one leg and needs a hip replacement in the other
Snoopy has either an obstruction or has been poisoned by something (most likely a blockage)
Cherie is having problems with her back legs due to her age.
Tilly has been limping on her front leg...most likely a sprain.
Cadbury had a puncture wound on the inside of his leg (it is now almost healed)
Molly didn't eat this morning...most likely due to the fact that Snoopy was sick all night. 
So...we are left with an ancient poodle (Charlie Brown) and Chester who hasn't needed repairing in some way. Now will be a great time to win that Megamillion.
Anhooo...Chat this evening? Anybody? 
How about 5:30pm Easterners (8:30pm Pacific)? Sound Good?
Oh and TAM...keep a watch for the mail dear Twin ...You should be receiving something from me within the next few weeks.

Hey Ladies!
Haven't posted in awhile, but I'm confined to quarters for 2 days here - ugh...this is NOT my gig.  I have a huge problem sittng still. I want to be out ! out ! out ! outside and getting dirty. My favorite thing to do. Feel like a prisoner in my own house. OK enough whinning.
Anyway, LOVED the double header the other night! I recorded it for my son so I can rewatch too. It's good to be back at sea, eh ladies?
Since I have to sit on my butt for 2 days, I just started the TIme Bandit book. I'm 10 pages in and Yes, I too wonder how these guys are still with us! Holy cow!

Yipee, I was so happy to see the show last night. Can you believe our boys are back? They even showed a lot of my favorite Russell Newberry! If any of you want to hear my southern twang you can hear me on the Discovery Channel shout outs. I left a message for the Time Bandit, specifically for my Russell. Love him, love him, love him!
I'm worried about Phil, I had heard on the site previously that he has had some health issues and to be honest I thought he didn't look well last night. I hope he takes care of his health. I'm praying for him!
So when is the next DC chat girls? Count me in! I've missed you all but so happy to see almost everyone is being accounted for. It's gonna be a great season!

Hello ladies!
The show was amazing, could not believe we got two episodes in one night. I certainly was not expecting that.
It was so great to see the MEN again. Isn't Phil just darling! I heart Phil! I have read a few of the boards today and boy are people telling little Jakers that he did a bad thing....I think he knows his Dad would be mad, but Daddy pays his paycheck. Let's give poor Jake a break. Phil knows how to get the $$ from Jake if in fact he wants to.
The only thing I did not understand was... when was Jake going to have any time to watch tv/dvd's? They seem so on task at all times, when they do have down time the guys are eating and sleeping.
Now for Phil, did I mention I heart Phil?
DO NOT READ NEXT PARAGRAPH, I AM TELLING SOMETHING I SAW THAT WILL AIR ON FUTURE SHOWS AND I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE SHOW....you have been warned if your still reading.
Phil was on a morning news talk show yesterday (or I saw the link yesterday) and he was telling how sick he got on this season. He was so sick he needed to be airlifted off the boat and the coast guard could not get him due to the weather and wind. That is all I am going to say, but those red bulls might have caused some horrible issues with him. I'm not going to put all the details out there, but Capt Phil has had a rough season. He told me in Vegas how sick he was, but did not tell me the same diagnosis that he said on the news show, close but not the same at all. I was a nurse for 15 years and I know he was ill and hospitalized but I did not know how serious it really was.
I hope he is taking it easy during his downtime. That is great he got a dog! That will make him slow down and take care of something. That is good healing.
I was so excited to see some of Neal's personality show through last night. He has been so quiet all along, but I think those days might be over!
LOVED THE TRUCK! Great job to the Time Bandit, can wait to see what PHIL will do. 
Well, I think I just typed a book! Hope everyone is having a great day! Season 4 ROCKS!

Phil got a little Yorkie puppy a few weeks ago, hes REALLY cute! All 4 lbs of him.
I have to get the film from the Time Bandit put on a disc today so I will try and get the pics up soon. Its the ONLY time anyone will ever see Ashley cooking....

omg!! what a night, i immersed myself in so much of the DC that i feel like i spent the night drinking, smoking and cursing! lmao!.
yesterday i finally made it to B&N and got the time bandit book along with discovery channels book on all the boats, crabbing, etc. i started to read the time bandit book before i picked tab up from school. went on my appts. and read some more until i got yelled at that everyone was hungry (i was so into it i didnt realize that it was 7pm!), after dinner, i picked it up again, then i watched the DC woohoo. jake cmon now honey that was just wrong on so many levels! poor phil he gets mad and then his soft heart just accepts it on a level, yes he was shaking jeez!! i got a mental pic of a roseanne episode when he mentioned lions eating their young. after watching until 11 i decided to curl up with the tb book again and then the next thing i knew i looked at the clock and it was 230am, dang i have to get back up at 6am. so off went the reading light and on went the tv and again more of the dc ahhh so yes it was a hard night but ohhh so worth it!! i think ill do the same thing tonite yayy!.
i wanna kick red bulls butt! they are creating a poison and they are well aware of it and i know the captains need to use stuff to stay awake sometimes but God! that is the worst stuff! i have high blood pressure that fluctuates too, that scares the heck out of me, i think ill light captain phil a nice healing candle.

hey!!! yes thank you for the pics gayle! lmao at the tour buses thats what happens when you develop a fan base!. Benewah omg and cathy eeek, jeez its been a rough winter all around it seems! congrats on bein a grammy phil-lover! tab was born oct. 26th its a good birth month!. speaking of ...tab had her first tball game yesterday and she was on first and they threw the ball to her and being like her mama she watched the ball fly at her and at the last minute put her hand up and mashed her thumb, but from where we were sitting it looked like it got her in the face. she has a loose tooth in the front and i thought oh man shes knocked her tooth out, luckily she didnt and after a few tears went back in. finally afterwards i said to her cmon let mama just pull it out with a little floss, she was flipping out, noooo itll hurt, finally the words of wisdom from the bering sea kicked in and i said "cmon youre not a man till ya pull a tooth out with pliers!" and we all laughed. needless to say her tooth is still in her mouth.
i cannot wait im on the way to b&n finally to get the time bandit book!! i understand theres another one out there from discovery channel so i guess ill get that one too!
yay mere hours till im glued to the tv i cannot wait!!!

most days. We are still fishing over there but lost Steve in
New Zealand, he keeps getting arrested lol.
Our winter was the snowiest in 150 years so I have spent the
last several months blowing snow and 4-wheeling in and out of
the drive way. It is nice to see people are posting here again.
I will plug the Time Bandit book again, it is wonderfully funny and
well worth buying in hard cover. Anyone who was thinking about

I been occupied lately so I haven't posted, sorry.
I still have 6 ft. piles of snow in the driveway, they are s l o w l y melting.
Brandon is pregnant, err, his wife is, she is due Oct. 18th, so go figger, the army is sending him to Africa for 8 months starting in July.
My Dad (74 yrs old) totalled his car, broke left ankle and foot and broke right wrist and ribs. The hospital OD'd him on morpheene, that was scary, then after 4 weeks, he gets out of ICU, goes in a regular room, and has a heart attack and goes right back into ICU. Finally they pinned and tied everything back in place and supposedly he goes to a rehab center today. No idea how long he will be there.
Ok, nuff whining

HELLO LADIES!!!! ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS I AM?!? I cannot believe that it is finally here! I have my drool bucket ready to go! I agree with everyone, it is nice to see everyone posting and getting excited about the new season. I have so missed everyone!
I want to thank everyone for your good thoughts and prayers regarding the latest episode with Dylan. Finally we got good news instead of bad. Dylan is not going to have to have surgery on his foot. There is no cyst or any other growth. We had to go the University of Oklahoma's Children's Hospital last Wednesday and the doc said that his injury is pretty common in active kids. The ligament that runs down the side of your leg and wraps around the outer part of your ankle bone, then connects to a growth plate on the side of the foot. In Dylan's case, one foot the ligament is torn and the other foot is completely torn off. It is painful but we are working on getting it better. He has to wear a walking boot for the next four weeks on one foot, then we will switch and he will have to wear the boot on the other foot for another four weeks. And believe me, he is not the least bit happy with me right now!  Oh well, he will get over it! I am just glad that we don't have to add another surgery to the list. We didn't register Dylan for sports this summer because we are going ahead with his other two surgeries...finally! His Dad has been real reluctant to do them, but I kept telling him how much it would benefit Dylan in the long run and so after about a year I finally got him to change his mind. Men, i swear you can't kill 'em and...you can't kill 'em. Well wait a minute actually I can because I can dispose of the body at the funeral home I work at. He needs to be nicer to me! 
Well ladies, back to the drawing board! Homework sucks!!!! Sorry for the long drawn out message! lol!!! I love y'all and I am so excited to that we can all catch up with each other. Everyone have a great Tuesday! I know I will!

Well ladies...I will be committing a mortal sin. I will not be catching the first showing of the first show of the season. I will try and catch the 9pm show on the west coast. Hopefully, I will be able to see it.
Things aren't so great for the pups. Sheba is in need of a surgeon. So far one vet turned her case down. She was beaten when she was a pup and she has had hip problems. She just blew her ACL in her good leg (the same injury Molly had last year). So now we are talking about trying to brace one leg...fixing the other...waiting for that leg to heal...then operating on the braced leg. My vet is hunting down someone willing to do the surgery. I don't want to think about the cost, but we will manage that when the time comes. The most important thing is getting Sheba healthy. Keep your fingers crossed.
Have a great time watching the first show. Make sure you barricade your door and have plenty of provisions (and smelling salts to sustain you)...*ahem*Beth*ahem*
TAM, thanks for your help this weekend. You are an angel. I'll keep you posted.

Looooong time no see
Ashley and I just returned from Ballard, where we took a tour of the Time Bandit which is town for repairs. Very surreal~ Eddie was the only "crew member" on board, except for Scotty Hillstrand, who had run to the airport to drop off Johnathan.
Ladies....TOUR BUSSES were coming by!! We sat in the wheelhouse and waved at them! It was crazy. Anyway, we got alot of pics but we had to do it on a disposable camera because we forgot ours, so I will post them asap. They're pretty good

I thought my childhood was crazy and off beat, theirs thoroughly reminded me of mine. I am still reading as I only purchased it this morning and am work, but I highly recommend it. Hey Sistahs!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! I cant wait till tomorrow night!!! Im only gonna be able to watch the first half hour cause then i gotta go to work but hopefully they will play reruns on weekends!!!!!! Been a LONG time ladies!! but you've never left my thoughts and prayers! I knew grad school would get the better of my time so I've been totally MIA so I doubt I'm slightly remembered. There is one thing Grad school couldn't override...A DC marathon!!!! I have not left my house-except to visit a client I'm counseling for an hour- and I have not been able to get any of the homework due next week done...And obviously what am I doing in the office I swore was dedicated to my educational pursuits!?! looking at DC pages and wiriting on forums!!! I cannot wait..I didn't remeber how much of a hold I was under until this weekend I need help..I guess the only remedy is to plant my backside in front of the telly until the theme song plays and those men appear onscreen!!!!

It's been awhile since I have posted--although I have managed to get some reading in every once and a while. Life is busy on my end and I am in training, so to speak, for a walk that I will be doing in October. I will talk about that in another post later. If you want the details--hit up my myspace page. OK enough about that.
I really came out here because I just wanted to share something with all of you as I sit here dealing with yet another sinus headache.
I bought the Time Bandit book last night, from Borders, and finished reading it this morning--YES IT IS THAT GOOD!!! You will not want to put this book down once you pick it up! I have an even higher level of respect for the Hillstrands and the rest of the captains. Their lives are not easy and they do so much to make sure we have delicious King Crab on our tables to eat. I am overwhlemed by what it takes for them to do their jobs and can honestly say that if it were me, I would have given up ages ago. Thank God for these fishermen!
I will not reveal any details about the book because I want ALL of you to buy copies but I will say this: These guys are a special breed. They are cut from a special cloth and they DO NOT MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!
The information revealed, the stories told, and the feelings and thoughts shared are like nothing I have ever read before and probably won't read again. Some of the things I thought I knew about these guys were confirmed and that is fantastic! Other things took me by surprise and still others made me think. This book feels very honest and very personal. Some of the details that show up surprised me. Never have I read such a book that gives you a glimpse into someone's thoughts so clearly--honest thoughts, real thoughts. I feel like I understand them a little better and for that I am grateful and thankful.
To the Hillstrands (if any of you are reading this) -- I just want to say BRAVO! This is a fantastic book and I cannot say thank you enough for, once again, putting yourselves out there----sharing your lives, your thoughts, and your feelings. It takes a lot of courage to publish a book with the level of honesty you provide in this one--then again I probably shouldn't be too surprised--as I already know how special you are. THANK YOU!!! If you are ever in Maryland, again, I will seek you out, if for nothing else, to express my gratitude in person. STAY SAFE GUYS--YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS!

elf, lmao!! too funny, sounds like something that would happen to me at the food store.
funny story...tabitha has joined t-ball and is loving every minute of it, well we had a couple of practices, her coach is really into the kids and is absolutely wonderful with them...at practice the other day, the field is on top of a hill and well the balls kept rolling down to the parking lot below, so trying to help out i started picking them up. well being the graceful and coordinated person i am, i bent over head first facing down the hill to pick up a ball and well....i started out with a nice tumble head first then went into my ever famous sideroll all the way down the hill, with one of the fathers chasing after me and i know i let out a few grunts cuz those rocks hurt when they smash into your ribs, lmao, i was so so humiliated and dirty. i think ill just stick to bringing the water jug to help out from now on.it might not have been so bad if tab wasnt at the top of the hill yelling "mama are you ok? "aside from a few scratches and sore ribs and wondering if i ripped my button off, im ok.
YAHOOO!!! 1 week sistahs, there is this underlying electricity in the air all of a sudden, im getting these hot flashes and at 9pm i keep getting the urge to click onto discovery channel. i absolutely cannot wait to start gabbing with all of you again, i have missed you! cathy where the heck are you woman?! i am in total agreement we need to do a get together! i have sold a couple of houses so wherever there is a meet dagnabit im going.

I, too, have yet to meet any of the crew of any of the boats. Although I do agree, Theresa, it is definitely NOT for the lack of trying! If I can get so lucky that the Hillstrands (or Harris' or anyone else...) can get back down to Sarasota, Florida for the fundraiser again...well, I'm wrapping my kids in bubblewrap until we get down there! lmao
And I know everyone is getting excited - 1 week from tomorrow until DC is once again filling living rooms (and maybe a few bedrooms?) with high sea adventure, but I'm kinda dreading it as I'm still stuck on rabbit ear TV and no internet @ the house yet. I'm going to check with my father to see if he can tape it for me until I join the modern age, but I'm not sure how I'm going to survive!! Until then, I'll live vicarously through my Sistahs here (and possibly the Banditas as well provided the message boards & chat room opens in the new site again?)

I was shopping at the local supermarket where I purchased:
A half gallon of skim milk
a carton of eggs
a quart of orange juice
a head of romaine lettuce
a 2 lb can of Folgers, and
a 1 lb pkg of bacon
As I Was unloading my items on the conveyor belt to check out, a drunk standing behind me watched as I placed the items in front of the cashier. While the cashier was ringing up my purchases, the drunk calmly stated, "You must be single."
I was a bit startled by this proclamation, but I was intrigued by the derelicts intuition, since I am indeed single. I looked at the six items on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about my selections that could have tipped off the drunk as to my marital status.
Curiosity getting the better of me I said: "Well, you know what, you're absolutely right. But how on earth did you know that?"
The drunk replied, "Cause you're ugly."

Thanks for making me think, I don't do that too often (EST)  duh. So, I'm not the only one who hasn't met Capt. Sexy yet; that makes me feel better, I have been living off other gals pictures and stories but that only gets me so far! Jamie Jean had taken the scrapbook a handful of us did to him & Johnathan in Vegas and we don't really know if he liked it or if he used it for kindling: it was goofy but fun; would be nice to know though.

Sexy wherever he keeps going, it is driving me crazy  because I used to live a few hours by where he goes now I am too far away to travel to him.
