I've been practising my 'coolness' for when I meet Phil. I think I can smile without drool coming out of my mouth. It's gonna be harder with Johnathan, though. I'm trying to remove all images of hot tubs and pool loungers out of my head!!!! Thank gawd Neal won't be there or I'd become totally brain-locked.
I promise to give you all a full report - except for those things that could be used against me in a court of law. I don't think that debauchery is still a crime..is it? My camera is croaked, but will have a friend with me as a 'guest' and her camera works just fine! She, however, will not problem to keep a leash on me. Sons have promised to bail me out of jail if necessary...pessimistic little devils. I mean, really, how much trouble could I possibly get myself into?????

A few weeks ago, I was talking to Phil and he mentioned he was coming to Atlanta. He said then that he would call me and let me know the when, where, and how when he got the details. I really didn't think more of it until Gayle texted me last Friday telling me he was going to be in Atlanta. But between the kids and work.....it just completely slipped my mind. Can anyone say 
So Monday, Phil called from the airport and said he was on his way and that he would call me when he got settled into his hotel because he wanted me to come up and spend the day with him and see all the behind scenes things of a Discovery Channel shin-dig. He called back around 9 that night and still didn't know all the details. He had a few things he was still working out. He called back about 11:15 and everything was a go. He told me where to be and what time.
I got to the hotel and he was at a business luncheon with his Discovery publicist (Amy) but I only had to wait about 10 minutes. When he got back, we went up to his room so he could freshen up then we met Amy back at the elevator and THEN we were whisked off to a Harley store. (Little secret here....Phil also wanted to go by a "helicoptor store" too but time ran out.... )
The people in the store really didn't know at first who had come in. Then I began to notice something was clicking with them "This man is SOMEBODY". LOL I just get so tickled watching people as they begin to recognize him. It was such a joy to watch kids last August at the bike rally...their little expressions were priceless and Phil and Johnathan simply put all their attention on that particular child/ren and they would just absolutely glow. So when the people in this store began to realize......but couldn't quite figure out who he was...it was great fun to watch. Finally, one lady realized who he was and that's all it took! And the "Phil in a Harley Store Circus" began! LOL The women (in the picture)  started clamoring aorund him! A couple of ladies began digging around for a couple of t-shirts they could give him to wear on television.
At check-out time, Phil handed his credit card to the cashier....and in classic Phil-licious fashion, promptly left the counter to shop some more. Leaving the poor girl holding his card. She began to get really nervous and asked me if I would hold the card for her until Phil came back to the counter. 
According to our driver (BJ...in the video), we had to leave the store at 3:30 so we would could get back to the Aquarium in time. Well, we left the store right at 3:30!
Unfortunately girls....the next posts are going to have to wait until tomorrow. I am completely out of time. Hugs to all!

Robin - I live in a tiny town called Plymouth. About 13 miles from Jackson.
Helen - I survived the mowing yesterday. The grass was getting so high I couldn't see Chester anymore. I think the field mice were planning a takeover. They were going to take Chester hostage and they had perfect cover to do it. Luckily I put a stop to their dastardly plan.
Storm - Congratulations on winning the contest. I hope you have a wonderful time.
Claudia - I'm glad you had a great time. You deserve it. I'm also glad to learn that Phil's feeling better. I agree a person can quit smoking when they are ready. No amount of nagging is going to convince them. I'm really proud that you were able to resist the temptation. That must have been very difficult and I applaud your strength to be able to resist. BRAVO!!!!
I also agree with you that John would not ignore Phil as the editing tried to lead us to believe. John had no reaction on his face at all. I hope Phil was able to finally reach his quota. I also agree that Josh was really sweet to try and boost his dad's spirits.

Speaking of which.....
As most of you know, I can not and will not be short, sweet and to the point in detailing my DC fella experiences so here goes.....
The first thing I want to do is assure EVERYONE that Phil is doing well. He looks well (in the healthy sense that is....to this female eye though......WOWZERS!). He is following MOST all of his doctor's instructions with the exception of smoking but really girls....he is going to have to make up his own mind to quit. I recently quit because God really was giving me a hard time about it so I gave it up in a 21 day fast. But as Phil and I talked about.....we both REALLY enjoy smoking. I know that is hard for some people to believe but there is a certain amount joy associated with smoking.
BTW, Gayle....I sure wish I went ahead and bet ya! *wink* Gayle and Debbie KNOWS first hand how nerve wacking it can be to keep up with Philly Cream Cheese so Gayle had the bright idea of making a wager on how long I would have to spend with Phil before I picked up a ciggie! I had every confidence in my quiting but I didn't wager her because I knew Who I quit for but nevertheless, I didn't take her up on her bet. Dang.....I would be a rich woman now! *double snort* I think Phil got a little kick out of it when I told him about it.
Next, last Tuesday's show was quite an experience for me. Watching the show with Phil is quite different. LOL Very nice....but different.
The following thoughts about last week's show are COMPLETELY my opinion and NOTHING TO DO WITH PHIL'S COMMENTS OR THOUGHTS.
I am not going to say much of anything about the CM parts simply because I do not believe that it happened the way it was edited. I will NEVER believe that Phil got radio silence from his friends...especially Johnathan. I believe the show is gearing up for Phil's illness. They keep focusing on all the nicotene, caffiene, and stress stress stress.....to me that's a tell tell sign.
I will say that Josh's concern for his Dad is just so amazingly heart warming. Yes....his hair has grown back as per Phil. *grin*
Now....the Time Bandit! First, when Johnathan fell off the dock, I was so ashamed of myself! I laughed. I don't know why it didn't immediately dawn on me that the water temp in Dutch Harbor was the same as if they had been out to sea! THAT MY DEARS IS HOW DITZY I CAN REALLY BE!
I quickly realized how serious it was and shut the heck up. I am so glad the guys were there to fish him out so quickly. I'm with Johnathan....I hope that IS the bad premonition Mrs. Hillstrand had. The Halloween planning and costumes were hilarious! Eddie in the Spider-Man costume was a hoot....especially the extra padding!

Eddie.....I just loved seeing Eddie even though it was for a chipped ankle. Of course we don't want our Eddie to be hurt but it was good to see him. I told Philly how sweet Eddie and Neal were to our Sistahs in August. He was quite interested in all they did so I told him all about all they did.
Way to go Neal and Eddie....we still lurv ya!!!!!! *HUGE HUGS*

My feet are finally a little closer to the ground, so want to share some amazing news I got. I'm one of the winners of the "Have dinner with DC Captains in Seattle" contest, sponsored by Discovery and the DC Wiki. 
Next Tuesday, I'll be having dinner with the captains and other contest winners in Seattle. I don't know which captains, but I'm crossing fingers and toes that Phil and Johnathan will be there. (I'm even crossing the fingers and toes of the dogs and cats, when they let me catch them!)
I am absolutely blown away by this 'cause I NEVER win anything (which is why the casino loves to see me coming!!!)

SHELLI: It showed a very anxious & jittery Phil, but no major illness yet. The worst injuries they showed was Eddie's (TB) chipped ankle & Moi's (Wizard) pus-filled finger.

ROBIN: I'm sure Disco had taken editing liberties with the "Noone responding to Phil's cry for help" storyline. I really have a hard time believing that NOONE (Most of all John!!) would answer him back. That seems really cold & not what I believe when I think of them out there. I know other capts won't give away coordinates to thier "hot spots" but I really have a hard time believing even TALKED to Phil!
And I told my son Colin that WHEN he meets John, he can tell him they have similar life experiences! A few years ago, he, too, slipped between the dock & a boat. Ok ok ok - so it was in June. In the Keys. The water wasn't as cold or as deep, and the boat was our 24 ft boat - but it was STILL traumatic for a 6-7 year old kid! lol

As usual, the show was great. I could have done without the whole thumbnail piercing on the Wizard...blech. That had to hurt. I felt sorry for Phil though. The desperation was actually palpable. You couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Josh was nice to try and boost his dad's morale. Too bad it didn't bring on the crab. Oh well...I'm glad the only thing that John hurt was his pride in that misstep. I also admire Scott for making such a hard decision. It isn't always easy to side against the family. I hope it proves to be the right decision for him.
Well Ladies...Have a great Wednesday. I'll be  I really hope the rattlesnakes are still hibernating. I can deal with the tarantulas, but the snakes make me nervous.

Hey Girls!!!!!    I really don't know how Phil-licious does it but I'm feeling rather beat up today.....in a fantastic way of course!
First and foremost, I have to thank Phil-licious for a wonderful spectacular day. Secondly, I have to thank my boss for letting me off on such short notice. My department is in the midst of regression testing and that is JUST not a time someone can take off to spend a day with her favorite captain...if yall know what I mean. But my boss was VERY nice about it and wanted to know about the day firs thing this morning.
There are a few pictures and a video or two. I can't promise how good they are because Phil is one heck of a guy to keep up with. But......and you all know there had to be a "but" in there right???? But, I am really on the line here at work this morning so just as soon as I can pull the pics and vids off the camera, I will post and tell yall all about it.
Phil did ask about all of you and said to make sure I tell you he said  He was very pleased to know we still have the group going. He has not been on a computer in ages so he hasn't been able to check things out. Maybe when he gets a little down time, he'll be able to check in soon.

Hey y'all
Man I was so excited Friday, ready to chat. Everything was going great, Dustin had a great t-ball practice although they misspelled the league name on his baseball cards, then we went to eat with the car club people(got laughed at because I printed 200 flyers for the car show and misspelled October...octoberer and had a class for ugliest...ugliest what?..I was rushed to get them out what can I say at least I laughed at myself) Took my mom to Penny's to buy a dress she saw in the sale flyer and go back to their house by 9 central. Turned on my laptop, connected it to the phone line and opened the dial up program...and there were no numbers to dial. Something happened to the program and I couldn't even enter in roadrunner numbers. I worked on it for a long time finally got it up and running only to be shot down again...the lap top has to be connected to roadrunner broadband before the roadrunner dial up can be used to verify you have a roadrunner account. AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH No chatting for me.  And no chatting for me this week either...after T-ball practice Friday night ...I got volunteered to chaperon a band lock in at an arcade (95 teenagers and video games and paintball all night). Then Saturday morning we have a T-ball game at 9am...
man I am gonna be worn out. Too much driving and gas is 3.42/gallon.
I can' wait for tomorrow night...I am anxious to see why the Time Bandit guys are wearing the wigs. Each episode seems to be filled with such drama.
Did anyone catch Dirty jobs tonight....I just love Mike Rowe...watching his reaction with the cows in labor, he seemed truly concerned about them being in pain. I think that is my favorite episode now. Something about seeing a life being born.
Well it's late and I gotta get some sleep...busy day tomorrow...work 10 hours then Dustin gymnastics before I get to come home and relax in front of the TV watching our gorgeous guys. What a way to unwind.

According to the thermometer it seems that summer is upon us ...we don't get much of a spring in Northern Cali...and well...IT SUCKS!!! The dogs are panting, the AC is chugging along, and the grass is turning brown. I hate it. Fire Season is here...UGH!

If Dylan will stop having seizures on Tuesday nites things would be better! lol!!! (Have to make light of the situation!) I am DYING to see it!!!! I noticed that the opening sequence did not have the Maverick or Far West Leader on it. Does anyone know what is up with that? UhHum...Miss Gayle?!? lol!!! It would not be the same without them on as well! I have decided come hell or high water, next Tuesday I AM WATCHING DC!!!!
So, how is everyone? I thought about chat at 11:15pm central time and thought I might be able to catch a few of the west coast sistahs, but no one was on! I hope that chat starts up again like before! I miss our chats and our crazy sistahs like CATHY! lol!!!
I have two more weeks of school left this semester! Thank God!!!!!!!! I am so ready for this nightmare to be over! lol!! Then on to summer school. Do I hear any sympathy out there?

heesshhh! i got up at 7 got tab up and done and fed, took a shower dropped her at school, ran to preview a house for a client ran home threw laundry in, ran back out to pick up the car-seats that hubby forgot to put in my truck, grabbed tab from school ran to another school to pick up my friends 2 girls, ran to bk to feed them, met a client, ran to show her the house i previewed this AM, then showed her the one shes got an offer on, ran back here for 1/2 hr then back out to a bday party, then to a purse party yeah i think i need to stop and chat dagnabit i need a laugh!! help!!!.

Hey y'all
Wow what a season so far and the previews I am seeing for next week ...I can't wait. Wigs...The things these guy take on the ship...like the Rollo when they took inflatable costumes....What way to de stress...Maybe we all should try things like that. I kinda do..I color my hair. Right now it is auburn with streaks of vampire red, midnight blue and ultraviolet, that didn't quite destress me so put streaks of blue black in my daughters hair. still didn't work so dyed front of 5 y/o Dustin's hair vampire red...Felt much better.
So chat tonight??? We got T-ball practice and a car club dinner afterwards. but I will pop in for a bit, it won't be long though I will be on Dial up.

Its been quite some time since I have posted in here. My life has been abnormally crazy!!!! But, you all have not been far from my thoughts.
I am very excited for the newest season of Deadliest Catch...and mainly our favorite fellas!!!
But, if anyone could please let Phil know....he is on several prayer lists around town....(I have asked several of my clients to please pray for him and have him on the churches list) They said they would.

Last nights show was great!
Love seeing the Hillstrands being crazy in the younger years..
And someone needs to give Sig a happy pill! Was that one evil glare on deck or what. I could get alot done out of my child if I could master that look.
Poor Phil Someone give him a blankie and put him to bed. Just shows you how hard these guys have to work while they are out. It's just amazing they don't sleep for a month when they come back home.

Time Bandit......I was absolutely caught up in the home video from our guys! They were just adorable then as they are now!!! Johnathan favors his Daddy.....Scotty favors his Daddy. Andy must get his good looks from his Mom. And Neal.....that sexy guy got his good looks from both sides!!! 
AND.....we got to see a little more of Eddie-baby too!!! 
On to my BESTEST favorite boat and one and only Phil.....what can I say???? All I wanted to do was tuck our Phil-ilicious into bed. Covers up to his eyes and teddy on one side....with me......well, I won't go there!

Hey, I tried to join but T left right before, oh well. That hairball med you can put on your finger and rub it on the roof of their mouth between their canines (before they bite you)  it usually works better that way and they lick it away like peanut butter. I never tried it with a syringe but that sounds painfull for you to say the least and I worked in a vet. for 6 years. Good Luck with it.

OK...I blame myself. I didn't give you all advanced notice. How about next Friday at 5:30pm/8:30pm? Or we can do Wednesday and discuss the show while it is still fresh in your mind.
Well last night was a sucky one. Snoopy was sick. Molly was sick out of sympathy for Snoopy. At least Snoopy slept. Molly didn't until after she left me a few gifts in the hallway. Poor thing. Charlie almost threw up in the bed. Lucky I got him out in time. Of course this morning they all felt much better. Everyone ate...everyone looks perky (except me). Snoopy has to take this awful stuff they give to cats for hairballs. It looks like molasseses and smells like maple syrup. It's hard enough giving this to a slightly squirmy beagle. How the heck does someone get a cat to swallow this stuff? I have a hard enough time getting it into a syringe it is so thick. Thank goodness he only has to take it 3 more times. YUCK!!!
Well...I'm off to catch up on some Zs. I didn't get much sleep last night with all the patients to tend to. I hope more people join us in chat next week.
