The love story of Ralph and Edna
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.
When she went to tell Edna the news she said,
"Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, Since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love,I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.
The bad news is...Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead."
Edna replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?"

Upon arriving home in eager anticipation of a leisurely evening, the husband was met at the door by his sobbing wife.
Tearfully she explained, "It's the pharmacist - he insulted me terribly this morning on the phone."
Immediately, the husband drove downtown to accuse the pharmacist and demand an apology.
Before he could say more than a word or two, the pharmacist told him, "Now, just a minute - listen to my side of it.
This morning the alarm failed to go off, so I was late getting up.
I went without breakfast and hurried out to the car, but I'll be damned if I didn't lock the house with both house and car keys inside.
I had to break a window to get my keys. Driving a little too fast, I got a speeding ticket. Then, about three blocks from the store I had a flat tire.
When I finally got to the store, there was a bunch of people waiting for me to open up.
I got the store opened and started waiting on these people, and all the time the darn phone was ringing its head off.
Then I had to break a roll of nickels against the cash register drawer to make change, and they spilled all over the floor.
I got down on my hands and knees to pick up the nickels - the phone is till ringing - when I came up I cracked my head on the open cash drawer, which made me stagger back against a showcase with a bunch of perfume bottles on it, and half of them hit the floor and broke.
The phone is still ringing with no let up, I finally got back to answer it."
The pharmacist continues, "It was your wife - she wanted to know how to use a rectal thermometer. Well, Mister, I TOLD HER!!!"

hello, omg i am so glad tomorrow is monday it means this bassackwards week is over. so far this week i managed to.....
show up for phone duty at the real estate office only to find out i didnt have phone duty. tabitha had a birthday party i swore the invitation said 3 and when we arrived everyone was like we were wondering where you were!!! finally i said didnt this start at 3? they were like noooo it started at 2 ugggh. then i had to go up 20 miles for a new listing to put up a sign, hubby needed to get in to do some measuring as he is putting in baseboards for the client and ummm i forgot my lockbox key so we couldnt get in...then yesterday i was invited to a jewelry party, in the AM tab and i went to get our nails done, then we did some shopping and well we went over a little so i raced home threw the stuff from shopping in the house, used the bathroom and then back out the door...we got to the party about 10 mins late...and as i went to get out of the car...i noticed my purse wasnt on the seat next to me id left it at home...someone shoot me please!!
i hate it when i cant even get out of my own way..
please please please let this be a more organized week!! lol

omg elf you had me peeing my pants!! it reminded me of a similar experience a long time ago. i had an important interview and had this old beat up camaro and sometimes the driver door would just stick. well i got to the interview on time and once again the drivers side door was stuck so i shimmied over the console and went to get out the passenger door and well that was stuck too. in a fit of rage i laid ontop of the console and started kicking the passenger side door finally it gave wayyy. whew i thought as i went to my interview. the interview was nice and i was sure i had the job. As i went to leave the gentleman who had interviewed me gasped and said oh my!! the whole back of your skirt is split sweetheart!!. as i turned my skirt so it was on my hip and looked more like a really racey side split Totally defeated i walked back to my car only to find that the drivers side door opened with ease...ughhh!!. sometimes i wonder if everyone i know is on the other side rolling with glee when this stuff happens to me!!!

This is kinda long, but I wanted to share a chuckle with all y'all.
Thursday morning in S. E. Ohio dawned cold and damp. Just about three inches of snow and ice. Temp at 2.0 when I got up, and had zoomed to an amazing 2.7 by the time I went out to start the car.
I have a little Ford Focus hatchback, and I just love that car! I decided to start it and let it warm up a few minutes before I began the 12 mile trek to my office, where I was supposed to spend the day with a computer guy who was going to fix my crashed computer. After I started the car,I went back into the house to wait a few minutes. When I went back out, the driver’s door wouldn’t open. I was positive I had made sure the "unlock" was pressed when I went back to the house,didn't I? Well maybe not. I’m terribly absent minded. So I go back into the house to get my second set of keys. For some reason the little "open" button didn’t work on the key fob. So I tried the key. I heard something click, and yanked at the door for several minutes. It wouldn’t budge. Well, O.K., I decided I had locked the darned thing, so I turned the key the other way. No luck, I yanked, pulled, swore, broke out in a sweat, but still it wouldn’t open. I then had the brilliant idea to get the defroster spray out of the trunk. I tried the trunk button, but It didn’t work either, so I was able to get it opened with the key. I carefully sprayed the defroster stuff all along the door, outlining it with defroster. Still wouldn’t open. I enlarged my vocabulary of curse words, by inventing some (I thought) very clever invectives. I just had to get to work, because this computer guy was coming, and at $175.00 per hr, I can’t be late! Then like a lightening bolt out of the blue, another brilliant idea! I would climb through the hatchback to the front of the car. What could go wrong? Now my driveway is on an incline. The car was sitting with the trunk higher than the front. I tried to get my stubby little legs up into the trunk. No go. Try harder, turn around and butt first, try to wiggle into the trunk. That didn’t work, so I belly flopped and wiggled my way into the cargo area, and discovered that even as short as I am, there isn’t a lot of room in the trunk!. (Maybe it had something to do with the fact that my body is shaped somewhat like an egg.) I’m very fluffy! I tried to go over the back seat, and promptly got stuck. My boobs were over the hump, so what could be the problem? The problem is that I’m thicker than the area between the top of the seat and the roof of the car! Damn! Who woulda thought? I couldn’t go forward, and couldn’t go backwards. I got in there, I outta be able to get out, right? So I wiggled and wiggled, and succeeded in getting my head and shoulders back over the seat. Only problem was, that I was naked from the waist to my throat. My bra was strangling me. My shirt was covering my eyes, and I was huffing and puffing like I’d just ran a marathon. OK, so I was thinking the situation over when another brilliant idea hit! Lower the seats! They have the little buttons which allow them to be laid forward. So the small seat went forward. I thought I was home free now, but discovered that having jut the little seat laid down didn’t give enough room for my fluffy body to pass through, so being the mature sensible person that I am, I laid the other seat down. If any of you have ever had a Focus, you will know that the seats do not lay flat. They kinda lean on the back of the front seats. This presented a little incline which I tackled as if it were Everest, trying to get my feet positioned in such a way that I wouldn’t twist my knees, hips, back, etc., which, by the way, was totally unsuccessful! I had just about reached the front when I gave into a fit of giggles, I think it may have been the radio preacher yelling "stuff happens!" "It all happens for a reason!" Or it may just have been the complete insanity of the situation. I giggled, gasped, giggled, trying valiantly not to pee my pants! At last I made it to where I could try the door latch from the inside, and miracles of miracles it opened! Since there wasn’t enough room for me to climb over the front seat, I wiggled slowly, desperately backwards. If there hadn’t been enough room for me to turn around going forward, I had no reason to believe the space had miraculously grown enough for me to turn around going backwards either. So I’m scooting around on my belly, still giggling like a fool, my legs sticking straight out the trunk of the car, my clothes again wound around my neck and face, sweating like a pig, my knees, hip and back all shooting pains throughout my fluffy little body, my unused shoulder and arm muscles spasming from the unaccustomed usage, and the radio preacher is telling me this is all happening for a reason!
I tell ya, sometimes life is a hoot! All we can do is laugh at it and go on. Stay warm and dry everyone. Spring will be here someday.

Guess what? I have to work ConExpo March 11-13 in Las Vegas, NV and found out Capt Phil is going to be there as a spokesman for the winches he endorses (wish he endorsed Wenches too) haha. I guess he does with all of us!
We are getting close to the new season! I can not wait. If I do get to meet Phil in Vegas or get some pics I'll share with you all!

i had a hoot today, it was 65 deg out and the sun popped out so i said to tab "hey lets clean up mama's truck!" so we did and off to the car wash we went, no sooner did i tip the ladies who dried my car off and pftth it started to rain, lol, just my luck!. then i went to preview a home for a client that is bank owned omg, it was flooded and its structure isnt too good either i couldnt for the life of me get the front door closed! oh well! lol. lets just say it was a wet day for bubbs.

HELLO SISTAHS! I HAVE SURE MISSED EVERYONE!!!!!!!
Like the rest of you, life has been very, very hectic here. Dylan and I are getting over bronchitis and tonsilitis. We are trying to schedule Dylan's tonsilectomy for spring break. Bless his heart! We were supposed to have already had that surgery and his deviated septum fixed, but it seems like every time we get ready to do it, something comes up that can't be avoided.
I am finally back in school this semester!!! Woo Hoo!!! I am taking 13 hours via the internet and I am here to tell you...don't make that mistake! I swear it is like the professors are punishing you for not attending class! I have more homework than I ever thought possible! But, after this semester I can return to the university up the street and all will be well. They put all my financial aid on hold when I left on medical leave and so it was either get all my med records (Yeah, right) or take 12 hours somewhere, complete them, then come back. I swear I don't think I will make it out of this experience sane! LOL!!!
To all the sistahs who have lost loved ones recently, my heart goes out to you! I have an elderly couple that I have been very close to for the past 7 years and they have become like surrogate grandparents and anyway, the elderly man, John, passed away Wednesday night! So, I have family night tonight and his funeral tomorrow. I think this has been a tough year for everyone already! So, my heart and prayers go out to you and know lots of love is being sent your way!
T, T, T...I am sooooo glad you didn't have a COW when you ran upon all those bovines in the road! ROFLMAO! Hey, you should have KNOWN BETTER than to make that comment! LMAO!!! Seriously, I am glad you are okay! We have a lot of problems around here with cows and horses getting out on the roads and I can tell ya, that that doesn't usually fair to well, especially for the drivers. Hope the cow is okay! I love ya!
I can't believe that Phil would ever think we would disband! Like someone said, we are sistahs for LIFE! Plus, we would NEVER leave those guys! I hope they realize just how faithful we are to them and how much we love them! So whoever talks to Phil next, remind him that we may get busy in our lives, but when one of us needs each other or if one of the captains needs us, by God we are there!!!!!!!
Well, that is about all that is up here! I am soooooo ready for the new season of the DC, friday nite chats, and lots and lots of drooling! Our captains never let us down! I am going to go! ok i first saw the dc when tab and I were in the hospital i first looked at jeff weeks and thought hmm maybe the cold and rocky seas are worth it!! lol does he not remind you of jeff bridges? ok anyway then they showed phil and i thought my my my duhhh i cant feel my tongue, then they showed jonathan and i thought ohh goodie God is showin bubbs some love today! then they showed sig and the rest of em and i thought wow God reallly really loves me today!! lol .then we got hooked because it made tab stop screaming in pain for an hour and we were hooked!. Her favorite is phil and the cornelia marie because the doo dad on the front of it looks like a tiara. everytime i remember her lil head poking over the side of her hospital bed asking me "is that the boat show mama?" my heart tugs. ill always be eternally grateful for those few hours.

Ella is doing fine, i fear she may have been abused though and we will be taking her into the vet. she has a terrible fear of shoes you dont even have to wear them all you have to do is pick one up and she runs, and if you touch her lil back quarterpanel she gets a really odd sounding meow, like it hurts. she has odd hours too, she comes out in the morning while we are getting ready for work/school and maybe a lil bit when i get back, other than that she hides under my bed until about 7 at night. i got her to sleep on the corner of my bed by my pillow, the first few nights she was antsy and i let her do what she wanted, and she would jump down, then slowly at night she would get on the bed and sit there and watch me till i petted her and finally she would curl up inthe smallest ball and go to sleep, now i fear ive created a monster...precisely at 10pm she starts yelling at me and wont leave me alone until i get in the bed, then she sits on her corner and purrs at me, last night she stuck her face in mine and kissed me, then she walked in 3 circles and laid down with her furry butt in my face, this morning when i got up she was sprawled out on my side of the bed under my covers and i couldnt find my pillow because it was off the bed, i figure by the end of the week i will be sleeping on the couch without a pillow and blanket, lol!
ok who did i see post that they hoped phil was feeling better? what did i miss. i have the prettiest white candle for those guys ill have to take a pic and post it. its huge because i figured the season would last long hopefully.
ok back to laundry, i looked at my house today and it looks like something you see on "cops" when they do a drug bust. 2 jobs and a full time mom makes it really hard!, lol . talk to ya soon!! luv ya!

Miserable today, Ice, snow, sleet, more ice and snow and sleet. Co-worker flipped her jeep on the way to the office this AM. Had to go to ER to be with her till family showed up. Oh well, just another day in my so called paradise.

last weekend my cousin called to say that they had put my aunt in the hospital, she had been complaining of a migraine and then the next day she was slurring, so they thought ok stroke, wrong!, it turns out that she had undetected myeloma and her brain and kidneys were calcifying she was comatose and gone by saturday, she was only 57. i guess i just got really upset about this and well i woke up monday night at around 3am with what i call human straw syndrome, it turns out i had an intestinal virus uggg as if that wasnt enough. the guy i was with for 5 years prior to my hubby was a horrible alcoholic, yet he was in med school and had 9 medals from the navy when i met him, during those five years he spiraled downward at such a fast rate i couldnt live that way anymore and left. But, having grown up with him i still saw his family and well we were all just friends, my other cousin called on tuesday to say that they had found him face down, dead in a hotel room. he'd drank himself to death. he was 47. the thing that is so sad is he spent his life without any encouragement and had so much potential i could never get him to see it. the fact that he died alone, in a skanky hotel room is going to bother me for a long time. then as i was on my way to the funeral for him, my sister called to say they were taking mama to the hospital as she was walking her lil pup she slid on ice and busted her ankle. turns out she needed major surgery as she had not only broken it on both sides but also ripped it out of the socket. lets just say i was grateful to go back to work yesterday, so i could hide.
on a higher note tab and me and hubby are thoroughly enjoying "ella" our new kitty, she is 3 and we got her from the shelter and omg she is our dog come back i swear it, she sleeps where he slept, plays like he played and sleeps in my bed right where he did. so much for one door closing and another opening. until today....i had to take her to the vet and well cats just do not like carriers, lol. after getting my arm ripped open and her digging her claw all the way into my shoulder and watching tab get hysterical because i was screaming i called the vet and changed it to friday, i think i need a new carrier. Because the one i was trying to get her into mysteriously got cursed at and stomped on, lmao.
ok enough doom and gloom elf i sure could use a joke right about now, please!!!!
all of you please take care of yourselves as im really paranoid now, you are all so important to me even though we've never met. i enjoy you thoroughly!! hugs and in case you havent heard these words today, l luv ya!

Hello Everyone! Sorry I have not posted in such a long while, but 2008 has gotten off to a rather rocky start for me and my family. Some of you might remember me telling you that my Dad had pulmonary fibrosis, a nasty lung disease that has no cure. Jan 3rd he passed away so the first part of the year I was in LA – Lower Alabama, going to the memorial and just helping my Mom. We are doing ok, I have my good days and some sad ones, we had been trying to go and see him and I missed my visit by a week, he passed before I could go and give him a hug and tell him that I loved him. I know he knew that, but I still feel bad that I could not see be there for him and my Mom. But life goes on and so will my family. Theresa – sweetie I know you love animals and would take care of any and all if you could but I don’t think Molly would like an animal that is bigger than she is! Thanks for you call, and remember you can call me if you need to talk. I know I am the evil twin sister that lives in Ohio but I still love ya and mom did not tell or pay me to say that! Kelly – the next time you see Theresa give her a kick the pants cause you are closer! Thanks for your kind words and support, I remember what you have told me and I know it will get easier as time goes by. Claudia- HI!!!!!! How are ya? Tell Capt Phil we are all here and accounted for plus on cow that Theresa wants to keep….. sisters what can you do with them?? Cathy- How ya doing? Any sign of green grass in your yard yet?
