Hi there. I know it's been a little while since I've done anything here, so I just wanted to pop in & say HI! Still internet-less @ the house...I miss it, but it is kinda nice having to fight over who's on it all the time...still....
Just a quick plea for some good vibes my way. My 12 year old, Trevor, had had tonsillitis 2 times in the past month alone & will be having his tonsils out over the summer. Not too sure when yet, but they will be done. I'm hoping all goes well there.
Also, my horse, Bella, was cruelly assaulted. There is a long story with the people we got her from...of course we find out about their criminal history AFTER we do business with them! Back in February, the husband assaulted my hubby & punched him in the eye! (couple small fractures in the eye socket, orbital blowout, chunk of skin missing, 8 stitches under the eye & a huge black eye!) 2 weeks ago, he was finally arrested, bonded out the next day, then 2 days later Bella's hind leg is significantly cut in a way that could only be done intentionally by someone. I know who, but I can't prove it. Cut is healing better now, but there is still a possibility that I might not be able to ride her again!
I'm totally enjoying the new DC season! Lots & lots of TB!!!!! that's the way I like it! lol Of course, I am kinda shocked that there seems to be only limited CM involvement so far. I have to say though, knowing what is going to happen with Phil makes each episode very stressful for me. Good to know he's doing better today! And what do ya'll think about the 2 new boats? I like the North American, but I had to feel bad for the Capt of the Early Dawn when the owners son went above his head.

Hey girls!!
I've been so bad lately about keeping up with the site. I'm sorry! Currently, I've been overwhelmed with work and I have been trying to further my education which is never easy with 2 dogs and 14 yr old and 12 yr old daughter. My daughters have their big dance recital at the end of the month, then the day after that we are headed to Northern Michigan for a much needed vacation!
Did I tell you girls that my brother in law has a new job in Alaska? They must be in Alaska by the 1st of August. He is really high up in the Game and Fisheries department for the Federal Government. And YES he is going to be working sometimes out of Dutch Harbor. I'll probably go visit sometime next year and if at all possible I will worm my way over to Dutch Harbor with my BIL to hopefully see some of the gorgeous crab fishermen. Do you think it is okay to have an alterior motive about being excited for my BIL and his new job? If he has any good fishing stories to tell about the Captains I will definately share them!!
Enjoying the new season for now but I've seen on the previews for this Tuesday where they show what has happened to Phil. I just hope his health will continue to improve and that he will follow the doctors' instructions.

I got to chat for about 10 minutes and then hubby needed to check mail Well he shut down, and in the meantime 2 calls came in.....make a long story short - it was 11 pm before I could get back so I went to bed instead!
OK, now this is interesting...we were trying to decide where to go for vaca this summer (we are in NJ) and time's a wasting getiing a reservation for some things. I wanted to do Yellowstone, but the 13 year old son does not want a nature trip. Sigh. SO>>>> my ever-lovin' hubby said - what about the west coast - what about SEATTLE. WHAT?? I said?? This will be late August so the first stop for this board member will be to see if any of the boats are in dock. Now remember this was my hub's idea - I swear. I wanted to go to WY.
T, oh so sorry about your brother. We still don't know what happened. All the reports aren't back yet. Funeral yesterday was bad bad. Ugh.

Hello Ladies,
Just thought I would pop in before I start my busy day. I am off to get a nice long massage. My back has been bothering me and this lady came highly recommended. Then I need to drop off my paperwork for my new job (it starts this Monday). I had to take a TB test and I needed to get the results into the place before I start. It is impossible to find a place in this county that could do it except the private practices which wanted $150 for an office visit. I was going to have to drive 45 miles to the next county clinic. Just for curiosity I asked one of the men in my choir who happens to be a doctor where he sends people. He told me to be at his office on Tuesday and he'll do it. He did it for FREE!!!  When I asked the nurse where I should pay she said, "oh no...it's comped...it's a public relations thing." and then she winked. She said the doctor likes my voice...that was really nice of him. And it saved me the drive. Yay!!! So I will be dropping off my paperwork after the massage.
Bunny - There is some sort of event here that is bringing in about 2000 bikers in this town of less than 1000 people. Should be interesting. 
Dana - You're a glutton for punishment. Good luck on those classes.  I can't believe you are taking internet classes again. You are crazy, girl!!!
Kate - I'm so sorry about your cousin. That's how my brother died. It was diagnosed as Idiopathic Epileptic Disorder which basically means they don't know what it was but it was most likely due to his epilepsy. I hope your FIL is feeling better. 
Cathy - I hope your dad is improving.
Robin - How is the little pooper doing? Is she warming up for tonight?
I hope to make it into chat tonight, but I can't guarantee anything. It seems like my every weekend is filling up. I don't think I'll be home much this summer.

Hello DC sistahs! I hope everyone is having a great DC Tuesday!!! It is good to see so many of the girls back and there are a lot of newbies as well. Nothing much has been going on here! Dylan is out of school for the summer. He only got out last Thursday and I am already wanting to hang him up by his feet or give me or him lots of valium. This is going to be a very long summer. Evening Ladies,
Just thought I'd stop in before I retire for the evening. I had a nice dinner with some friends to celebrate my new job and then we stopped by the bar and had a few drinks. Gary (Keith and Monte's Dad) dropped in for coffee and my friend tried to recruit him for our choir. Apparently, rumor has it he can sing. Later on he sung a few bars just for me...shhh don't tell anyone.  He has a very nice voice. He also showed me a prototype for the new Wizard Shirt. Very nice. I just may have to get one. I have the one Gary gave me last year that Monte signed. I love it. But I have to say that this one is quite nice as well.
Bunny - My evening was tame in comparison...no stripping what so ever of any kind. There was, however, a very cute motorcycle riding little white fluffy dog.  Complete with goggles...very cute.
Robin - It's a good thing you didn't clean your windshield...we may have had snow up here.

Robin- you were not kidding about being blown into San Fran. Good Lord!!! I got hit by a falling branch on the drive down. Thank goodness it wasn't bigger.  God Bless the fire crews. There was a small brush fire I passed about 1/2 way to the Delta and there had to be about 15 fire trucks there. They weren't taking any chances.
Bunny - I hope it isn't too cold your way.  Temps are still down here. I like it and so do the dogs.  Maybe we can split the difference. You take all the hot hot weather and I will gladly take the frigid temps.
Oh...and when you do head into San Fran again, you will have to tell us when. I would love to meet you in person. You too, Robin.

I agree that Johnathan with the bird was just to sweet for words. But that's REALLY the way the guy is. To sweet for words. And BIG BAD ANDY......shame on him! *grin* (We still lurv ya McCowboy, don't we Beffy?) Seriously though, I understand Andy's position but I would have done the same thing as Johnathan. A few years back a wounded dove was in my back yard and I went to greater lengths to help the bird than I would have ever thought I would.
So John and the bird was a great highlight on Tuesday night BUT........
Phil and Joshy were the best part, if you ask me!!! The sneezing fit Phil had was just to adorable! I kept saying "Bless you" over and over and over and over!
Also....I just lurv Joshy AND Jakkers but Josh being so worried about his Dad is VERY touching. I am sure Jakkers is worried to but unfortunately, the cameras didn't catch it.
And what can I say about my Philly-i-cious???? All I can say is I would have given a right arm to have been in that cabin nursing our wonderful captain back to good health!  (Did I say that?????)
